Kota Kinabalu - Kinabalu Park

Depart this morning for the picturesque Kinabalu Park. Enjoy a guided walk through the splendid nature reserve together with the park's naturalist. After an informative presentation at the park's exhibition hall you will be transferred back to Kota Kinabalu. (L)

Kota Kinabalu - Selingan Turtle Island

Transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Sandakan. Take a speedboat to Selingan Turtle Island where you will overnight. Spend this afternoon at leisure and explore the island, relax in the tranquility of the surroundings, swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters. In the evening, a park ranger will escort you to watch one of the green turtles that has come ashore to lay its eggs. You may also be able to assist a park ranger to release newly hatched baby turtles into the sea. (BLD)

Selingan - Sandakan - Sukau

This morning depart Selingan for Sandakan. Visit the Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Sanctuary where you may have the chance to see the Orang-Utans feeding and relaxing in their rainforest habitat. Take an hour-long cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will have lunch at Abai Village. Continue along the river up to Sukau in search of proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife. In the late afternoon, travel down the Menanggul Rivert. (BLD)

Sukau - Sandakan - Kota Kinabalu

Bird This morning take a relaxing river cruise to Sandakan where, on arrival, you will visit the Water Village entirely built on stilts over the saltwater. Continue to a beautiful Buddhist temple with spectacular views over Sandakan Bay before lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer back to the airport for your flight back to Kota Kinabalu. (BL)

Accommodation on this tour is in lodges which are basic yet comfortable. On rare occasions it may only be possible to confirm a room with shared facilities on Day 2. We cannot guarantee that turtles will lay their eggs on your visit to Selingan Island.
